Offshore Wind
We have a wealth of experience within the offshore wind sector, having been involved from the early days of offshore wind and with some of the world’s largest wind farms. Initially with fixed installation projects and more recently floating deepwater structures.
Our work involves interfacing with Operator Shareholders, OFTO’s, Contractors and Manufacturers, together with numerous specialist consultants such as Marine Warranty, and also Consenting bodies such as the MMO.
Subsea Cables
Our teams have been responsible for one of the most extensive installations of inter-array and export cables at any offshore wind farm in the world, together with numerous major remediation projects, including complex replacement of inter-array cables during the operational phase of a major wind farm.
We have also been involved with the complex analysis, design and installation of retrofit cable protection systems, fitted to failing cables. Such work being conducted within operational wind farms, with a key requirement being the need to minimise generation losses without impacting safety.
Built Environment
We also support the design, construction and operating & maintenance phases of domestic dwellings constructed to be environmentally friendly, incorporating renewables generation technology, together with integrated feed into/out of the UK Grid.
This “new future” technology is designed to enable domestic dwellings to both reduce their environmental footprint and also aid the Grid by supporting frequency management and utilisation.
